Paynes Bay is one of the few West Coast beaches the make up the Platinum Coast. Many believe this is one of the islands best beaches for both the calm seas and stunning sunsets.
In recent years Paynes Bay has experienced significant development, most recently by foreign companies who are building hotels in the area. Sandy Lane is situated at the north end of Paynes Bay and it's well worth taking an evening stroll along this stretch of beach to admire the yachts and watch the sun go down.
