A personal guide to the island

Hi, I’m Chris. I built Beaches of Barbados to help you choose the right beach, not just the prettiest photograph.

I’ve spent time in Barbados exploring the coast, getting out on the water and snorkelling around the island. Those experiences are part of why I care about the difference between a beach that looks great online and one that genuinely suits the day you have planned.

These guides combine that personal connection with current research, official information and practical checks on swimming, access, facilities and what can change. Where I have first-hand experience, I’ll say so. Where a guide is researched rather than personally visited, I want that to be clear too.
