My name is Brian Talma; I'm here relaxing at the Action Beach shop.  You can do a combination of sports, kite-surfing, windsurfing, surfing and SUP-ing or better said - stand-up paddling and this is where all the action is.

 

I've been operating out of here almost - more than 20 years and I'm glad that the vision that I had as a young boy growing up is a reality.  When people were laughing at me, thinking I was a beach bum, and now everybody's following.  

 

What I promote is Bajan beach culture, which is a full on lifestyle unique only to Barbados as I speak.  A blend of the beach culture, which is a combination of the surf society and the fishing community, and which I say - it's a very unique culture that we have and we're enriching, it's a living lifestyle.  

 

What we do is we cater; we cater for anybody that wants to feel the lifestyle.  We encourage people to come here that know nothing about the sports, if they know nothing about windsurfing, surfing, kite surfing or paddle surfing and to come into this area, and the Action Beach, we can provide than an experience, this ain't Disneyland this is the action land.  And when they come in here they will get into the action.  All you have to do is bring the right attitude, be able to swim and be fit, not over fit, but just be fit and be able to swim and you could be in the action and experience Bajan beach culture.
