Maxwell Beach is one of the most popular beaches on the South Coast. A short walk through a shaded picnic area brings you out to the beach. Golden sands, blue sea and palm trees make this a very pleasant stop.
This beach is just down the road from St Lawrence Gap a popular hangout for tourists. Bars, restaurants, hotels and night life are all in close proximity.
The sea here can get a little rough at time, but no different to any other beach on the South Coast; it's beautiful and very popular with tourists. Jet skis will try and tempt you for a ride, you might also get a few locals here who might want to introduce themselves to you, so just be warned. A very pleasant beach and well worth a look if you're staying on the South Coast.
