River Bay, located on the North Coast of Barbados is a very popular scenic stop. A freshwater river runs down to the sea, and hence the name.The bay had a little beach and calm tranquil waters.
Now it looks lovely and calm and it's fine to go and dip your feet, but don’t venture out too far as there's a dangerous current here. There are washrooms, changing rooms and showers available and there are numerous picnic benches set under the shade of the trees.
Now if you climb up on top of the cliff you'll see a spectacular view of the sea. This is a very popular spot at the weekend and is definitely worth visiting when you're exploring the north of the island.
